For the first part of Unit 4 of the You Show we ask people to collect sounds they might use for a Sound Effect Story or to create a composition from one sound. We will use these next week to teach some audio editing in Audacity.
Seemed a time to do some of my own, captured a few earlier in the week, some today at the Open Studio Hours. To test and use my own tools, I uploaded them to the Soundpool.
Because they are stored there, I can easily embed them here using the URL (available by right/control clicking on the download link); I can embed them here in this blog (without having to re-upload them) by using an audio shortcode (or using Add Media and then Add by URL).
My first is what I might use for a single sound composition, my huffing/puffing 3 blows on my harmonica

And from the Soundpool site for this sound, I can copy ready built attribution text

Measuring and Cutting
The man repairing the flashing that fell from the OL building was running a high powered saw, I caught a bit if him measuring then cutting

Need help with WordPress?
I asked Teshu to pretend to enter my office and ask for help with WordPress. It starts with my just randomly hitting my keyboard for typing sounds.

Tick Tock
The analog clock in my apartment seems loud when nothing else is making noise. I got up on the chair to put my iPhone right next to it. The amplitude was still low, so I bumped it up in Audacity; makes it a bit more noisy

10,000 Channels and Nothing On
Trying to show boredom of TV. Just recorded my fast flipping. This must have a use in a story!
