Today’s You Show Daily calls for combining images to find something to represent a random John Cage poem– Determine an image for a random John Cage Indeterminancy #YSdaily11.

I landed in selection 143 about mushrooms:

When      Vera      Williams      first      noticed
                   that      I      was      interested
     in      wild      mushrooms,
                  she      told      her      children
     not      to      touch      any      of      them
                   because      they      were      all
     deadly      poisonous.

                   A      few      days      later
                she       bought       a       steak
    at       Martino’s                     and       
decided      to       serve       it
  smothered       with       mushrooms.

                                  When       she       
started      to       cook       the       mushrooms,
                                         the       children
      all       stopped       whatever       they
  were       doing                     and       watched
      her       attentively.

                         When       she       served
    dinner,
they       all       burst        into        tears.

I found an image of steak and mushrooms in Wikimedia Commons. In Photoshop, I edited out the parts outside of the plate.

I then looked in compfight for some images of kids crying (search link) landing on this sad guy:

This image went behind the plate, and I stretched it much bigger to allow room for the text. All of it sits on a black background, so I could make the photo transparent a bit to make the text more readable– a screen shot of my editing shows the layers:

And that is how a The Daily is done!
